Clevedon Lions Support Alliance Living Care

The Clevedon Lions Club have donated £400 from their annual Christmas ‘Tree of Light’ fundraiser to support activities at Alliance Living Care's Elm View day centre.

The Elm View day centre provides customers the opportunity to relax, enjoy good food and company and reminisce about their lives.

The donation will be used to fund the purchase of a new iPad plus a new microphone so that customers visiting the scheme can take part in sing-along and learn to use technology.

Care Coordinator Maddy Norman commented: “We’re really grateful to the Lions for this generous donation. It’s great to be able to offer our day visitors access to iPads on which they can play games which support sensory development.

We’ve been really lucky as the Lions have supported us on a number of occasions. The donation is greatly welcomed, and I know our customers really value the time they spend at the centre.”

The Clevedon Lions fundraise for a variety of good causes in the local community throughout the year. This donation has been funded from their Tree of Light celebration, where people place a star on the Christmas tree in memory of a loved one who has passed away.
