About the Group
To support this, we have formed an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Champions Customer Group. This group brings together customers with a wide range of lived experiences, backgrounds and perspectives to help us shape how we put our ED&I commitments into practice. As well as co creating solutions, the group gives us the opportunity to listen more deeply, learn from real experiences, and ensure customer voices inform our decisions at every stage.
You can learn more about our wider approach in our Alliance for All commitment document and we will also share updates on our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion web page.
What you can expect
By being part of the Customer ED&I Group, you’ll play a key role in helping us improve how we design and deliver services. Your insights, experiences and perspectives will directly influence the decisions we make and help us understand where change is needed to ensure our services are inclusive and equitable for all customers. As part of this work, you may also contribute to planning meaningful awareness events, such as Pride and Black History Month, and support Equality Impact Assessments (EIAs) for customer activities.
As a member of the group, you can expect:
• A welcoming, inclusive and informal space where you can openly share experiences and ideas.
• Meetings held every 6–12 weeks at the Loxton Road Community Hub, with online options available to ensure everyone can take part.
• Opportunities to connect with a diverse mix of customers who bring a range of backgrounds and viewpoints.
• Support with travel or travel costs, plus a thank‑you voucher for your involvement.
What we expect
We are looking for customers who are passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion, or who have lived experience that can help us understand barriers and opportunities for improvement. You don’t need specialist knowledge—just a willingness to share your views and listen to others.
As a member of the group, we ask that you:
• Attend meetings regularly where possible.
• Take part in open, respectful conversation and contribute your perspective.
• Help us shape ideas, events and improvements that benefit all customers.
• Represent a wide range of experiences, whether as a customer, shared owner, leaseholder, community hub user or other service user.
