Thank you to everyone who nominated a charity for Alliance Homes’ Charity of the Year 2026/27. We received lots of suggestions, reflecting the passion our customers and colleagues have for supporting local causes that make a real difference.

After reviewing all nominations, we shortlisted the charities against a set of criteria, and we’re now pleased to share the final list. It’s time for you to help choose who we will support in the year ahead.

The shortlisted charities are:

The Rainbow Trust 

The Rainbow Trust provides emotional and practical support to families with a child who has a lifethreatening or terminal illness.

Children’s Hospice South West

Children’s Hospice South West offers specialist hospice care for children with lifelimiting conditions, alongside dedicated support for their families.

Sands

Sands support anyone affected by the death of a baby, offering bereavement services, funding research and advocating for safer maternity care.

The Grand Appeal (Bristol Children’s Hospital) 

The official charity of Bristol Children’s Hospital, The Grand Appeal fund pioneering equipment, family accommodation, research and creative wellbeing projects.

Gympanzees

Gympanzees are a Bristol‑based charity providing fully inclusive play, exercise and social opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. They are fundraising for a permanent home.

SARI (Stand Against Racism & Inequality) 

SARI provides support to victims of hate crime and works across communities to challenge discrimination and promote equality.

MS Society

The MS Society funds world‑leading research, campaigns for change and provides vital support for people living with multiple sclerosis.
