The Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) is here to help you save money on your home energy bills.

Our advisors have been trained by National Energy Action  have partnered with Burnham and Weston Energy, Wales and West Utilities and Centre of Sustainability to support customers with energy use, understanding bills and dealing with energy companies. They can also help with income maximisation and connecting you to local services that support your health and wellbeing.

Our Home Energy Advice Team offers free, impartial advice on energy related matters and will help customers with:

  • Using their heating systems and controls efficiently to meet household needs
  • Improving home energy efficiency, such as reducing draughts, preventing heat loss, improving insultation and upgrading systems
  • Supporting those with new tenancies to ensure your energy system and billing is set up correctly
  • Understanding fuel bills, choosing the most suitable tariff, managing fuel debts and payments, and liaising with energy suppliers in cases of disputes
  • Advice around solar panels, Air Source Heat Pumps and Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery systems. 
  • Guidance on issues related to disrepair, including damp and mould, repairs and maintenance
  • Advocacy supporting when contacting energy providers or other organisations that promote independent living.
