What is a Managing Agent?
A managing agent is a company or a person employed by the owner of a building or land to manage a property or an estate on their behalf. You may see this described as third-party managing agent on your service charge statement.
The open spaces on many of our newer estates are managed by third-party managing agents or estate management companies. We pay these managing agents for the costs of managing and maintaining the open spaces on estates where we have homes. This can include but is not limited to, landscaping, maintenance of unadopted roads and pathways, maintenance of attenuation ponds and play areas. We then recover these costs from you in your service charges. If you have any issues in relation to the services provided, then please contact us directly
We have a small number of blocks that are managed and maintained by third-party managing agents. If you have any communal repairs or issues in relation to your block, you should still contact us in the first instance and we will liaise with the managing agent responsible on your behalf.
