Alliance Homes offers £34,000 to boost local projects

09/01/2026

Housing association Alliance Homes has opened applications for its Communities Together Grants for 2026.

The grant programme, now in its fourth year, has awarded more than £86,000 so far to charities and community groups across the West of England.

The Communities Together Grants programme aims to support projects that strengthen communities and neighbourhoods where customers of Alliance Homes live. Grants ranging from £50 to £7,500 are available for community projects and charities.

In 2025, Alliance Homes awarded more than £31,000 to eleven groups and projects through the grant programme. One of the successful projects was Weston Hospicecare, which received £3,300 to help its No Barriers Here project.

The project supports people entering palliative care, giving them the opportunity to talk openly about their care, their carers, and their end-of-life wishes.

Jennifer Wakefield-Brosius, Day Services Manager and Project Lead at Weston Hospicecare said: “Alliance Homes’ support has helped us break down barriers and make vital conversations about end-of-life care accessible to more people in communities in Weston-super-Mare.”

A participant in Weston Hospicecare’s No Barriers Here programme enjoys an arts and crafts activity, supported by Alliance Homes’ Communities Together Grants.
Applications to the Communities Together Grants are reviewed by a panel of Alliance Homes customers, to make sure the funding supports the priorities of local communities.
Applications close on 22 February 2026. For more information about the grants and the application process, visit the Communities Together Grants webpage or email communityinvestment@alliancehomes.org.uk.
