Working in partnership with Weston College's Future Ready Programme, we're creating opportunities for young people aged 16 and over to learn more about the world of work, meet professionals and discover potential career paths.
Whether you're considering employment, further education, an apprenticeship, or simply exploring your options, we'd love to hear from you.
Not sure what career is right for you?
Thinking about your next steps but don't know where to start?
Foundations for the Future is a new initiative from Alliance Homes, launched as part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, to help young people explore career opportunities, build confidence and gain valuable experience.
What's in it for you?
As part of Foundations for the Future, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Explore different careers
- Meet professionals and hear about their experiences
- Take part in career exploration activities
- Gain insight into careers in housing, construction, customer services, finance, communications, IT and more
- Build confidence and develop workplace skills
- Access CV, application and interview support
- Find out about potential work experience and work taster opportunities
Coming in 2027
We're planning a series of informal sessions from February 2027 at our Loxton Road Community Hub.
These sessions will give you the chance to:
- Meet Alliance Homes colleagues
- Learn about a range of careers
- Ask questions in an informal setting
- Explore different routes into employment and further education
- Find out about opportunities available through the programme
We also hope to offer work tasters and work experience opportunities later in the programme.
Who can take part?
Foundations for the Future is open to young people aged 16 and over who are interested in exploring future career or learning opportunities.
No previous experience is required.
All we ask is that you're willing to learn, ask questions and explore what's possible.
