New affordable homes delivered at Farleigh Fields in Backwell

Alliance Homes has welcomed the first handover of affordable homes at the Farleigh Fields development in Backwell, providing more opportunities for local people to access quality, affordable housing in North Somerset.

Developer Persimmon Homes has transferred the first nine of 27 affordable homes over to Alliance, with the remaining homes being transferred over the during the rest of the year.

The new houses, bungalows and apartments will be available through a mix of social rent and shared ownership which will help meet local housing need and reduce pressure on North Somerset Council's housing waiting list.

Iain Lock, Chief Operating Officer at Alliance Homes, said: "I'm delighted to see the first of 27 new affordable homes handed over at Farleigh Fields. These much-needed new homes, built by Persimmon and delivered through Section 106, will give local families the opportunity to put down roots and be part of a thriving local community.

"This is another important step towards our goal of delivering 2,000 sustainable and affordable new homes by 2033."
