What's on

We offer a range of events to support adult carers, including coffee mornings, activity sessions and drop-in opportunities. These events provide a chance to meet others and access helpful information.

Some events require booking. If you're already registered with our service and would like to attend, please email: carersupport@alliancehomes.org.uk. If you're not currently registered, you're still welcome to come along, but we encourage you to complete a referral form so a member of our team can get in touch and help you access our services.

As a registered charity funded by North Somerset Council, we rely on donations to provide these sessions for free, unless otherwise stated. There is no minimum amount, and we only ask if you're able to give.

Backwell and Nailsea Support Group at Backwell W.I Hall.

Thursday 2 July, 10:00-12:00 

Join us for a trip to Watercress Farm, a beautiful setting in the countryside where we’ll be enjoying a walk and a spot of mindfulness.

Refreshments will be available during the session. Please note that this venue is not suitable for those who rely on walking aids due to uneven terrain and physical demands.

There are two accessible toilets which are at the main base so there would be roughly 1hr when these aren’t nearby.

Advice Drop In at The Campus, Locking Castle, Weston Super Mare.

 If you’ve got some questions that need an answer in relation to your role as a Carer or need some advice, pop along to the Advice Drop In where you’ll have chance to talk to one of our Co-Ordinators.

Skittles Night at The Lamb Inn, Worle High Street, Weston Super Mare.

Join us for a fun game of Skittles!

Thursday 9 July, 18:00 – 20:00

Evening Carers Club at The Super Mare, Weston Super Mare. Come along and join other Carers for an Evening Meal.

We will be paying for the Carers who choose a meal from the ‘Two Pub Classics for £13.49’ menu.

Anything ordered that isn’t part of this menu will need to be funded by Carers themselves as would any drinks or food for their Cared For.

 Friday 10 July – 6pm – 23:00

Charity Fundraising Gala, Winscombe Sports & Social Club.

This evening will be a chance to enjoy a delicious meal, relax, hear inspiring stories, and most importantly raise vital funds for a special trip. Every ticket purchased will help us provide a well-deserved night away for carers who rarely get the opportunity to take time for themselves. 

Tickets are £32pp and include the following:

• Bubbles on arrival
• Two-course sit-down meal
• Music and entertainment

Arts and Crafts with Sandie at Kenn Village Hall, Kenn, Clevedon.

Join Sandie for some Arts and Crafts! This month, we’ll be taking part in Summer watercolour painting.

Wednesday 15 July, 12:30 – 14:30

 Come 2gether at The Loxton Community Hub, 3 Loxton Road, Weston Super Mare.

Come along to our exciting new group! We’ll be having different activities taking place at each session. We’ll also be providing Tea, Coffee, and a Sandwich Lunch for all.

Thursday 16 July, 10:30 – 12:30

 Kenn Coffee Morning at Kenn Village Hall, Kenn, Clevedon.

Join us for our Carers Coffee Morning. A relaxed space for a break, a hot drink and talk to others who understand.

Friday 17 July, 11:00-13:00 

Meet us outside South Sands Hotel before joining us for a stroll along Sand Bay, finishing off with Fish and Chips for lunch, provided by the Adult Carers Service.

We will be meeting outside South Sands Hotel for 11:00am. Parking is available nearby, however please note they do charge.

Wednesday 22 July, 10:00

Join us at Tyntesfield for a complimentary explore around the site. We’ll be providing a picnic lunch for Carers to enjoy. Carers must be able to arrange travel for themselves.

Friday 24 July, 10:00 – 12:00

Tai Chi at Tamar Court Community Hub, Tamar Rd, Worle, Weston-Super-Mare, BS22 6NF. Join us for a hot drink, followed by a gentle session of Tai Chi. Designed to help you relax, stretch and take a moment to yourself. Tai Chi starts at 11:00.
