We understand that losing a loved one is a difficult and emotional time. Dealing with different organisations, making arrangements, and notifying services of the bereavement can be particularly challenging. We're here to help and support you through the process.

Please notify us of the death as soon as possible. To do this, download the 'Notice to end tenancy following a death of a tenant' form.

Email the complete for to asklettings@alliancehomes.org.uk, post or deliver it to us at 40 Martingale Way, Portishead, BS20 7AW.

If you return the keys to us within two weeks, we will not charge rent on the notice period. You will also need to:

  • Give us access to the property at your earliest convenience so we can get ready to carry out any repairs that may be needed
  • Provide us with a copy of the death certificate once you have it
  • Leave the property in a clean and tidy condition, cleared of all furniture and other belongings
  • We also need the Executors of the Will’s contact details or the Next of Kin.

Updating other organisations - Tell Us Once service

We appreciate this can be an upsetting time for family and friends. We recommend using the Government’s ‘Tell Us Once’ service, which enables you to report a death to most government organisations in one go.

Alliance Homes is not included in this service, so you will need to notify us separately.
