Passing on your tenancy

There are circumstances in which another person could take over a tenancy:

• By succession – where a partner or close member of the family who lives with you might be able to become the tenant in the event of your death.

• By assignment – where you might be able to nominate a partner or close member of the family who lives with you to become the tenant instead of you.
