Delivering more new homes

Alliance’s home building plans are starting to pick with the announcement of three more developments.

The construction industry, like many others, slowed down during the pandemic. However, as we now emerge from restrictions we can see more and more progress on many of our planned sites.

Our new homes on Bristol Road, Churchill are nearly finished and developer Newland Homes are set to hand over 11 properties in September. Three of these will be for Shares Ownership and eight will be for or social rent, one of which will be an accessible bungalow.

We recently received planning permission to turn a garage site in Nailsea into four affordable rent homes and we’re moving quickly to the tender phase where we’re looking for a contractor who can get the work started.

And finally, we are working on our second project in Cheddar at the Hellier's Lane site. Developer Bellway will be handing over 18 new homes on the site in over the next two years. The deal will see 14 new affordable rent homes in the area as well as four homes for shared ownership.

Iain Lock, Director of Investments commented “We’re really pleased to see so many new homes coming through. We have even more in the pipeline and are well on our way to delivering 2,000 homes over the next ten years.”
